Through Trials and Tribulations, Let the Good Times Roll!

OIC celebrates 45 years of service to the Greater New Britain community and training 45,000 people. This year's gala will recognize and honor Alex Johnson, President and CEO of Capital Workforce Partners, Inc. will receive the Leon Howard Sullivan award, Nancy Sarra, Superintendent, Consolidated School District of New Britain will receive the Angelo Tomasso Community award, Mary Lisa Royce, Executive Director, New Britain Housing Authority will receive the Connie Wilson Collins award and this year OIC will recognize and honor eight recipients of the OIC Essence Award. These wonderful individuals include: Michelle Pavano, Grants Coordinator, City of New Britain, Maria Sanchez, Director of Grantmaking and Community Investment, American Savings Foundation, Father Joseph Napolitano, Priest, St. Ann Catholic Parish, Teresa Nieves, Manager, United Way of Central and Northeast Connecticut, Sarah Kolb, State of Connecticut , Judicial Branch, Tamika Thurston, Service Coordinator, Capitol Region Education Council, Lori-lynn Chatlos, Business Services Specialist and victor Mitchell Director of business and Industry Services and Workforce Projects. 

All of these individuals assist OIC and allow us to provide training and services to at-risk, disengaged youth and young adults. 

This year's gala will highlight the alumni and past employees of OIC. If you have been involved in OIC programs or have worked with us and are 21 years old and up, please attend this gala event and meet and greet other OICers. This will be an evening to remember and to collect phone numbers and memories. See you there!
